The Jordan trip was definitely one of the biggest highlights of 2006 for me. I travelled there when another Eid celebration was underway – the breaking of the fast at the end of Ramadan. It’s an interesting time to be in a predominantly Muslim country and special bonus points go to our excellent driver and fearless tour leader, who essentially worked through one of their biggest holidays. Leisa was already booked to travel in Jordan for a week on a small group journey with Exodus, as Todd had already covered off most of the key sights in Jordan, and I managed to nab the last spot on the journey. So we all spent a few days together catching up, not eating in public between sunrise and sunset and taking in a few of Amman’s sights. Monk & I then headed off to explore the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
