After our ride from Vienna to Budapest we headed straight to Croatia for some R&R.
Flying into Split we got a ferry straight out to Hvar for 4 days at a beach resort to unwind. We had great weather and spent lots of time by the pool or in the crystal clear water of the Adriatic Sea. I was amazed to see that the water was much clearer than anything we had seen anywhere in the world. Hvar is also renowned for its celebrity clientele and while we didn’t see any celebrities we had a great time laughing at all the “beautiful people†strutting their stuff around the island.
From Hvar, we caught the ferry back to Split and a coach to Dubrovnik. We had 2 days in Dubrovnik where we walked the old city, enjoyed more sunshine and ate great seafood. We also took a guided sea kayak around a neighbouring island.
