With a recent tent purchase, Easter was going to be the time to test it out. We headed to the New Forest, south west from London, for the Easter long weekend.
We arrived late Thursday night and set up camp. Within an hour from settling into the tent for the night the rain began. Nevertheless we stayed very dry. Friday was spent looking around the neighbouring towns and arranging some bicycle hire. Saturday we drove into Brockenhurst to pick up the bikes and pedaled off into the New Forest. We spent the day ride the many trails between Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst. Sunday we caught the ferry form Lymington to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. We hired some bikes again and made our way around the west island circuit taking in the sights along the way. The weather had now fined up and the day was spent in sunshine. As usual, the best weather day is the day you leave, and sure enough, Monday was sunshine and blue skies. We went for a stroll around the campsite, packed up the campsite and headed t Winchester for lunch and then back into London by late afternoon.
